My name is Krista Monson and I’m a storyteller.

For 35 years I told stories in live entertainment and elite human performance.

As a concept author, stage director, award-winning choreographer and producer, I was passionate to explore excellence in storytelling for countless collaborations in live entertainment, including 14 years with the renowned entertainment company Cirque du Soleil.

But there was a rock in my shoe I couldn’t shake. While working around the world with remarkable people and cultures, I had missed the opportunity to explore the lives of some of my closest relatives before they passed away.

My professional attention shifted. In 2023, I created Sincerely Yours Memoirs, dedicated to creating private living memoirs, or personal documentaries, to capture and preserve the life stories of older adults.

Since 2023, Sincerely Yours Memoirs has curated over 22 digital memoirs. The feedback has been extraordinary – life changing, in fact – both for my creative journey and for families who now have the life story of their loved ones recounted in their own voice to cherish forever.

Storytelling is not just entertainment… it’s a fundamental part of being human.

I began to receive requests to curate living memoirs for business founders and creative leaders – the very human journey surrounding chapters of their professional lives. This led me to create Sincerely Yours Memoirs – Founders, Leaders and Unicorns in 2025.
I believe passionately that behind every trailblazing breakthrough and innovative triumph lies a story of resilience, relationships, and creativity. That story deserves to be told and preserved. Without stories we cannot grow. Without growth we cannot learn.

How does it work?

Sincerely Yours – Founders, Leaders & Unicorns chronicles professional chapters of a founder or leader’s life through a semi-structured interview using 4K videography. We do not bring large crews (we do bring lighting, cameras and make you look great!). The interview is conducted at your home, office or private location.

We approach our process as a personal narrative. Personal narratives, as opposed to a journalistic approach:

  • Focus on the individual’s story, experiences and emotions.
  • Prioritize the individual’s perspective and personal experience over factual accuracy.
  • Can be a powerful way to connect with an audience on a personal level.
  • Embrace authentic conversation, as opposed to quick sound bites, to truly capture the essence of who you are.

Interviews are approximately three hours with a final product (your digital memoir) typically landing between 45 and 120 minutes.

Your full digital memoir is curated in our editing suite with an artful curation of photos, historical timelines and other archive resources to create a customized personal documentary.

The entire process, from the interview to receiving your digital memoir, typically requires three months to complete. This can vary depending on several factors which are discussed during our initial conversations.

Discover: We share a discovery call to discuss your goals and priorities including specific areas you would like to explore in the interview.

Prepare: Following our discovery call, we curate a list of questions for you to approve in advance of our interview. This phase of the process serves as the start of a meaningful, often delightful, journey of reminiscing before the actual interview takes place. Questions serve as a guide only. Spontaneous dialogue during the interview is welcome – it is essential that there’s room for you to be you!

Interview: We typically schedule a two to three hour interview between the subject and Sincerely Yours Founder, Krista Monson.

Collaborate: Following the interview, you or your representatives are asked to send photos, archives, articles or other visual assets that correspond to what was discussed in the interview. Collaboration is critical to the development of a truly meaningful and personalized visual memoir.

Curate: In the post-production process, we use our professional editing suite to weave the recorded conversation together with photos and archival material (articles, timelines, testimonials). Our goal is to capture the genuine essence of who you are – then and now.

Deliver, Watch & Share: Viewing and sharing with family, friends, and colleagues is often the most meaningful (and most fun) part of the entire process.
